When should you book a birth photographer?

The best time to book a birth photographer is during your second trimester (around 20–28 weeks). Birth photographers usually accept only a small number of clients per month because they must remain on call 24/7 around your due date.

Booking earlier also allows time to build trust. Since your photographer will be present during an intimate life moment, connection matters just as much as skill. The earlier you secure your photographer, the more relaxed you can feel heading into the final months of pregnancy.
